Level up Thanksgiving this year with a pasture-raised, heritage-breed turkey! Turkey pickup day is Tuesday, November 24 from 2-6PM at our Farm Store.
Whole turkeys are $13/lb, and range in size. Please specify your size preference below in the Special Instructions box. After you place your order, you will be charged a deposit fee of $50. The deposit fee will be deducted from your order total at pickup. Turkeys will be fresh and whole, with giblets separated and provided with your order. We cannot control the exact size of every bird but we will do our best to accommodate your request. Select your size preference from the options listed below.

A note on this year’s turkeys:
Glynwood’s farm team is taking this year off from raising turkeys, but we aren’t compromising our standards. Just like at Glynwood, the heritage-breed turkeys we are offering to our community this year are raised with love and care by farming icon Frank Reese. Frank's Good Shepherd Poultry Ranch in Kansas is the only remaining commercial Standardbred heritage poultry hatchery in the U.S. to meet these standards: Certified Standardbred, Pasture Raised, Free Ranging Flock, Vegetarian Fed, Naturally Mating, and Antibiotic Free from hatching to plate.
Heritage-breed turkeys are beautiful, boisterous animals closer akin to natural wild turkeys. When compared with conventional broad-breasted turkeys, heritage-breed birds grow far more slowly, giving them time to develop healthy organs and strong skeletal structures before taking on weight in muscle mass. These turkeys require ample space to graze, and so are overall more expensive to care for.
Your Thanksgiving turkey will be one of the eight varieties of Standardbred turkeys in existence today: Bronze, Narragansett, Bourbon Red, White Holland, Black, Slate, Beltsville Small White, or Royal Palm. Heritage-breed turkeys boast richer, darker meat that we believe is miles more flavorful.
